Cooking Carman Ranch Beef

If there's anything better than the exceptional quality and flavor of Carman Ranch beef, it's how simple it is to prepare.

Just three steps and four minutes are all that stands between you, a perfectly cooked Lady Steak and dinner!  It doesn't get much easier than that.

Step 1.Cooking Carman Ranch meat

To quickly and safely thaw (defrost?) our Lady Steaks, place the vacuum-sealed package in a large bowl.

  • Cover generously with cold water and set aside for 10 minutes
  • After 10 minutes, remove steaks from packaging and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Place the meat on a plate and generously season both sides with salt.
**Thawed steaks will keep in the refrigerator for 8 to 10 days.

Step 2.

Cooking with Carman Ranch meat

Heat a small, heavy skillet that comfortably holds the number of steaks you're cooking over high heat.

Add a light slick of oil to cover the bottom of the pan.

When oil is hot but not smoking, carefully place the steak(s) in the pan.

Set a timer for 2 minutes, and don't get distracted! After 2 minutes, flip the steak and cook 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 minutes longer for a medium-rare steak, depending on thickness.

    Step 3.

Remove the steak from the pan to a cutting board to rest for 10 minutes. Don't skip this step!

Prepare the rest of the meal while the meat is resting.

    Dinner is served.
